What is expected

Indicative deliverables for the precinct.

Drawn from publicly available Victorian Planning Authority background reporting for the Melton East area. Nothing here is approved or funded.

Employment led land use

VPA background reporting for Melton East indicates this area will mostly comprise industrial and employment land uses.

A smaller residential offering

A residential component is expected alongside the employment land, smaller in scale than a typical greenfield housing precinct.

Kororoit Creek corridor

Kororoit Creek forms the southern boundary and is the natural spine for open space, drainage and habitat outcomes.

Local services in time

Community facilities, local retail and school sites are determined through precinct structure planning, which has not started here.

Open space and green links

Victorian growth precincts are planned with connected open space networks and shared paths linking neighbourhoods.

Conservation outcomes

Conservation and biodiversity areas are set through the official plan. See the official plan when it is published.
